IRVINE – A school-funding initiative to increase the city’s support of Irvine schools to $4 million annually will be on the November ballot.
The City Council Tuesday night approved the ballot measure, The Irvine Support Our Schools Initiative of 2012, to more than double the $1.5 million in annual support that Irvine already gives to area schools. Read more…

An initiative to more than double city support for Irvine schools from 2013 to 2016 was proposed for the November ballot early this month.
If passed by voters, Support Our Schools would continue and increase city support for the Irvine and Tustin Unified School Districts as outlined in the Irvine Educational Partnership fund and the Challenge Match Grant program through 2016. Read more…
